What others say
I really enjoyed working with you and Synera!
With steep learning curve, Synera allowed us to solve complex simulations and create a workflow to generalize our work to similar problems. Truly a unique piece of software with a lot of useful features and great potential
Thank you for your effort and the experience we’re able to make in Synera!
The Education program excels in providing simple yet realistic examples that mirror real-world scenarios, integrating theoretical knowledge in practical application. It was great to just share and solve problems with peers and to learn from them. The program does a really good job at laying a solid foundation of methods before encouraging creativity in problem-solving.

Synera is a low-code platform promoting efficient automation and collaboration across departments. The platform enables Connected Engineering by seamlessly integrating multi-vendor CAD and FEA tools, encapsulating expert knowledge, and supporting model-based engineering for the creation of reusable, customizable workflows.
Our educational licences are intended for students and educators to experience our software as part of their education and teaching.
Your system must follow these requirements to run and install the Synera core application. Additional software (like Altair Hyperworks) might need additional resources.
Operating Systems: Windows 10, 64-bit, version 1703 or later
Disk Space: 2.5 GB of free disk space; SSD is recommended for optimal performance (does not include disk space for IDE/frameworks/tools).
RAM: 8 GB is recommended, 16 or more for heavy DNA operations (big meshes and FEM models)
CPU: Multi-core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
GPU: DirectX® 11 and OpenGL 3.2 capable graphics card (dedicated or integrated); at least 1 GB of video memory is recommended
Display resolution: Minimum 1280 x 1024; 1920 x 1080 or higher is recommended.
Good news! The educational license gives you access to the full functionality of Synera, including all add-ins from our Marketplace. In addition, you can use the extensive teaching material of our Academy, with video tutorials, example workflows and small challenges. In our forum, you can exchange ideas with our support team and other students.
If you’re a student with a basic engineering skills (like CAD, FE and ideally first programming experience) who is interested in learning new skills, you are well prepared to participate in our challenge.
This is a team competition for teams of 2-3 people, but don’t worry if you don’t have a teammate yet – we will help you find your teammates. You will learn a completely new approach to designing parts using our visual programming platform.
Participants can expect to dedicate approximately 5-6 hours per week for meetings, practicalexercises, group discussions, and project work. This workload is structured to ensure thatparticipants can effectively grasp the concepts while also accommodating other personal orprofessional commitments.
There are two ways to find a topic for a thesis with Synera: you can contact us and we can askour customers, if they already a topic or if they can create one. Another way is if you have aprofessor at your university who knows Synera and is ready to create a topic for you. Beforestarting with a thesis we highly recommend learning to use Synera through participating inour Education Challenge or exploring it yourself using our online Academy and Learningmaterials.
Sure! Synera enables you to automate a lot of development processes, gain time and assureoptimal results. Feel free to contact us and we can have a call and see together how you canimplement Synera.
Firstly, you learn about Synera, acquiring necessary knowledge and skills. Next, participantsform teams to collaborate on weekly assignments. Additionally, they receive suggestions andfeedback from our industry partner, improving their learning journey with real-world insights.
