Automated Pre-Processing of CAD for FE & CFD simulations

CAD assemblies of paper machine parts display many detailed features and are not suitable to be used directly for FE / CFD simulations. Thus, before the meshing process can start all these small parts, such as thin plates, boreholes, pins, etc. need to be manually removed. In Synera it is possible to turn these manually conducted simplification steps into automation logics. These CAD clean-up automations display over time an entire toolbox which can be accessed by all CAD engineers over the Voith internal Synera Library.

Time savings in simulation process due to automation logics for clean-up

70% reuse of clean-up logics for other CAD assemblies

Calculation and simulation steps can be added for extensive automation

Synera automates the tedious clean-up of CAD assemblies for our FE and CFD simulations, significantly reducing manual work for our simulation experts. This allows for a faster calculation process and leads to an efficient and accurate design process at Voith Paper.
